As Memorial Day approaches, we reflect on the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have served our country. It’s a time to honor their memory, their courage, and their commitment to protecting the freedoms we hold dear. And what better way to pay tribute than by coming together with members and supporters of the SOF community for an event that embodies the spirit of remembrance and gratitude?
On May 26th at 8:00 am, we invite you to join us for Ruck the Mall, a special event starting at the Washington Monument. From there, we’ll journey to the Capitol Building and back, symbolizing our collective appreciation for those who have given their all in service to our nation. Rucking, for those unfamiliar, involves walking with a weighted backpack or rucksack. But Ruck the Mall is more than just a physical challenge – it’s a solemn occasion to honor the fallen and support those who have served.
This event isn’t just for seasoned ruckers or veterans; it’s for anyone who wants to show their respect and gratitude. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned pro, your presence and participation will help make this event a powerful expression of solidarity and remembrance. As we lace up our boots and gather at the Washington Monument, let’s remember the lives lost, the families left behind, and the enduring legacy of service and sacrifice that defines our nation. Let’s come together to honor and remember, to support and uplift, and to ensure that the memory of our fallen heroes lives on.
The event is free and free refreshments and lunch are provided.
