A huge part of our mission-set is to be able to give the Ground Truth to decision-makers in Washington. We’re proud to announce that after days of preparation, work, coordination and because of the generous giving from people all over the world, we will be sending a team of SOAA members to help with medical aid to Afghan refugees. Our team is flying into Al Udeid Airbase in Doha, Qatar and will be working in collaboration with the Global Surgical and Medical Support Group (GSMSG) to provide medical supplies and services to those that need it most. In addition to medical and humanitarian aid the team will also be conducting a Pre-Deployment Site Survey in order to coordinate with decision-makers in Washington DC and relevant agencies what actual needs exist and what the real-time situation is on the ground.
