Robert L. Zackery III is the President of Primer Development Group, a business and leadership consulting firm dedicated to enhancing organizational performance by reshaping individual and team behaviors, optimizing operational effectiveness, and sharpening competitive advantage. 

Zack holds graduate-level studies in Strategic Leadership and professional certificates from Harvard University, MIT, the University of North Carolina, and the University of South Florida.  He has lectured at Yale University, U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), and Joint Special Operations University (JSOU).

A retired 26.5-year USAF Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Special Operator and Command Chief Master Sergeant, an achievement earned by only the top 5% of the top 1% in the U.S. Air Force.  

Zack’s military career includes seven combat deployments, 9 total deployments.  He participated in the initial invasions of Afghanistan (TF Dagger, ODA 542) and Iraq (A Co., 2nd Ranger Battalion), served with Ranger Battalion Reconnaissance Detachment, and operated with C Squadron of a Special Mission Unit.

Throughout his career, Zack served on 3-man Ranger Reconnaissance Teams, 12-man Army Special Forces Detachments, and at echelons from Army Battalion to Corps level.  He also built partnership capacity with 22 allied nations on behalf of the Department of State and the Department of Defense.

Within U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Zack led enterprise-level initiatives across a 74,000-member force, gathering critical operational data and delivering recommendations directly to the Commander, under the direction of the President of the United States, with oversight from the Secretary of Defense and Congress.
