Randell Wingate is an accomplished Senior leader with over 30 years of experience in high-level security, operational strategy, and leadership within both military and law enforcement sectors. Randell recently retired as the 19th Special Forces Group Command Sergeant Major where he was responsible for the Group’s operational effectiveness, risk mitigation strategies for Commanders, and overseeing all aspects of training and readiness. Randell was also the trusted senior advisor to the Group Commander.
In addition to advisory roles, Randell has improved operational plans, enhanced cross-training programs, and led policy development initiatives to strengthen security across organizations. As a respected leader, Randell has been recognized for his ability to evaluate intelligence, improve operational efficiencies, and mitigate threats.
Previously, Randell spent over two decades at the Oakland Police Department, culminating in a leadership position as Special Operations Division Captain. There, he led a diverse team of hundreds of officers, joint agency operations, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, and orchestrated complex crowd control and emergency response efforts for large-scale public events, including protests, parades, and professional sports games. Randell authored pivotal policies on crowd control, tactical team deployment, and crisis management, ensuring public safety during some of the most challenging situations.
Throughout his career, Randell has been recognized with numerous awards, including multiple Medals of Valor and Meritorious Service Medals, and has received advanced certifications from prestogious institutions, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy and the Joint Special Operations Forces Senior Enlisted Advisor Course.
Randell earned a master’s degree in public safety from the University of San Diego and continues to leverage his extensive background in leadership, strategic planning, and operational security to enhance the safety and security of organizations, military units, and agencies worldwide. Randell embodies the dedication and forward-thinking leadership essential for the evolving challenges of U.S. national security.
