Junaid is a U.S. Army veteran and former civilian Pashto interpreter for the military in Afghanistan. With the rare distinction of serving as both an Infantry Officer and interpreter, Junaid has been uniquely positioned to strengthen relationships between the American and Afghan people. Following his military service, Junaid played a pivotal role in founding a veteran-owned broker-dealer in the financial sector. He subsequently pursued an MBA at UC Berkeley, supported by scholarships from the Pat Tillman and LunaCap Foundations. Junaid’s expertise in policy and international relations has provided invaluable insights into the geopolitics of South Asia and the Middle East, benefiting U.S. military and diplomatic personnel.
