Dr. Joseph Long is a retired Special Forces officer who served in 1st Special Forces Group and as an instructor and Commander in various phases of the Special Forces Qualification Course, culminating his career as the Director of Special Forces Proponency. He is a Senior Non-Resident Fellow at the Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) and Strategic Leadership Consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton in the Washington, DC area. His is the author of multiple scholarly publications and his research interests center around leadership in highly complex Irregular and Unconventional environments.
