Bio: Bruce Bowman retired from the US Army as a Lieutenant Colonel after a twenty-year career. His Army assignments include serving as a Division Chief for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Pentagon, a Green Beret supporting European operations, and as an Assistant Professor of Systems Engineering at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY. He specialized in nuclear-biological-chemical defense and operations research and systems analysis. Dr. Bowman is a graduate of the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center’s Special Operations Course and the Army’s Command and General Staff College.
After the U. S. Army, Bruce Bowman held senior positions in business, systems engineering, and technology consulting at nationally recognized and prestigious firms including SAIC, PricewaterhouseCoopers, The Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Laboratory, and IBM Business Consulting. He was primarily engaged in chemical and biological counter-proliferation technology deployment to protect high-value assets in private industry, critical infrastructure risk assessment, and defense-related systems analysis.
Dr. Bowman holds a doctorate awarded by Columbia University in New York City, NY (Ph.D. and M.Phil., Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics) and is a graduate of Indiana University, IN, (B.S., Chemistry) and the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH (M.S., Operations Research).
