Have you had a chance to read the Op-Ed that our Senior Advisor, Timothy Torres, wrote for The Hill? If you haven’t yet, check it out here! In his incisive piece, Torres calls attention to the systematic failure of the US Government to support our Afghan allies, and provide them with a clear pathway to citizenship. There are fewer servicemembers buried in Arlington National Cemetary today because of their heroism, and following our botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, we have left our brave allies for dead. Congress must act to adopt policies that will support our Afghan SOF allies.

With clear-sighted prescience, Torres warns of the message our abandonment of overseas allies will send—that the United States is a fickle friend. With the Afghan Adjustment Act (AAA) functionally dead, this cause is all the more urgent as thousands of Afghan refugees remain in legal limbo. SOAA will not rest in the fight to support our Afghan SOF allies and will continue to work with our leaders in Washington to advocate for them.
