The Washington Post conducted an interview with our board member, Jaclyn “Jax” Scott, who is the namesake for an important Bill that was introduced in the House on 23 March 23. The Jax Act will go along way to right more than a decade of unfair treatment for women combat veterans from Cultural Support Teams (CSTs). CSTs are routinely denied care by the VA because their DD214 forms do not include combat presumption.
CSTs have fought bravely alongside our SOF teams since 2010, and they deserve the same care and recognition as their male counterparts.
