For decades, our Afghan allies stood beside us on the battlefield. They fought with us. They bled with us. And in some instances, they died protecting us. Along with veterans and active duty servicemembers around the world, SOAA has worked tirelessly to save as many of our allies as we could during the evacuation. But, sadly, many were left behind.
We’re grateful the Trump administration has vowed to keep our promise to those who are able to qualify for Special Immigrant Visas, but we urge them to keep the spirit of that commitment as well.
Our Afghan allies honored their commitment to fight along us. We must honor our commitment to them.
